Shiseido raises the luxury skincare bar with Future Solution LX

It’s a shame that few North Americans truly understand the remarkable skincare technology behind the Shiseido brand.  A powerhouse in Asia, Shiseido chemists are developing some of the most cutting-edge advances in the area of anti-aging skincare. The company invests vast amounts of money into research and development and the results of that investment are clear in a major luxury skincare launch called Future Solution LX.  It arrives in Bay stores this month then rolls out to other department and select stores.

The line is based on an important new discovery in skin aging.  Seven years ago, Shiseido scientists discovered that Serpin b3, a negative factor within the skin increases when skin is exposed to external aggressors such as UV rays and dryness. As Serpin b3 levels rise in the skin, barrier function decreases leading to an acceleration of skin aging.  With this new knowledge, the scientists created an ingredient called Skingenercell 1p that suppresses the production of Serpin b3.  As a result, healthy cells are created that work to restore moisture to the skin.

With this new powerful ingredient, scientists then looked to nature for effective ingredients to further nourish and reinforce the skin cells. Premium Uji green tea, the highest grade of Japanese tea added potent antioxidant protection. Super Yeast Extract encouraged collagen production and Super Bio-Hyaluronic Acid (Shiseido’s secret method of producing hyaluronic acid using biotechnology) acted as a “moisture magnet” within the skin. The combination of ingredients is one of the industry’s most potent anti-aging formulas.

The Shiseido Future Solution LX collection includes: an Extra Rich Cleansing Foam, a Concentrated Balancing Softener, A Night Cream and a Day Cream.
