Sneak Peek: Clarins to unveil first soap for face and body
Next month, Clarins will launch a Gentle Beauty Soap, a natural formula that can be used for both face and body. It’s a first for the French beauty brand. “It’s 100% biodegradable and 99.9% of its ingredients are of natural origin,” says Clarins’ Danielle La Roche. “We’ve even gone as far as to make sure 83.5% of ingredients are obtained from organic farming. This is truly a natural soap.”
And while it is important that the ingredients be of natural origin, Clarins’ chemists insisted it provide cleansing effectiveness and preserve the skin’s natural hydration. The 150 g bar offers a smooth, creamy foam lightly scented with citrus fruit oils. Shea butter and hazelnut oil both nourish and moisturize. It arrives on Clarins counters in March and will retail for $15.
