Revlon Announces a New Face and a New Fragrance

Today, Revlon announced that it has a new global brand ambassador and, for the first time in about a decade, a new perfume. Television personality Alejandra Espinoza will be the face of the upcoming Love Is On Eau de Toilette.

Born in Mexico and raised in southern California, Espinoza is the host of “La Banda,” a music-based reality-competition show, on Univision, the Spanish-language network co-developed by Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment. The former beauty pageant winner boasts a large social-media fan base, with more than three million likes on her Facebook page. Beginning next month, Espinoza will appear in TV, print, in-store, digital and social-media campaigns for Love Is On, as well as for Revlon colour and hair products.

The launch of the heart-shaped scent is major news for the currently makeup- and nail-focused beauty brand, which had previous success in the fragrance category, most notably with 1973’s Charlie. Love Is On will launch in November at select drugstores and other retailers across Canada.
