Spa staple Dermalogica is expanding into the Toronto retail scene for the holidays. In October, the 29-year-old, LA-based brand known for its Face Mapping approach to skincare launched a temporary pop-up shop at Bayview Village. Open for business at the upscale mall until January 15, 2016, the 1,000-square-foot space includes a complete retail Skin Bar and offers on-site MicroZone treatments, 20-minute sessions targeted to a specific skincare need. With a focus on gift giving, a selection of the brand’s packaged sets are complemented by a shop-in-shop of products like cookies and jewellery from female-run Canadian companies.

Although Dermalogica is carried in 1,200 spas across the country, the line opened its first permanent Canadian location in Montreal in 2014, which is joined by four concept spaces in the US. Any plans for additional retail outlets in Canada have yet to be announced.
