Best of Beauty: Winners of the 2015 Product of the Year Canada Awards

The Product of the Year Awards are held annually to recognize the top, new-to-market launches—across a wide range of product categories—based on innovation in design, function and/or packaging. This global awards program now spans 40 countries, and here in Canada, this year’s winners were determined through a survey of more than 10,000 consumers across the country.

At an awards ceremony last night in Toronto, 34 new products were honoured with the Product of the Year Canada seal. Here, five of the beauty champs for 2015:

WINNER: NAIL POLISH

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel, $11. Available in 47 shades, this at-home nail colour is made with technology that allows it to cure with the Miracle Gel Top Coat (sold separately)—no LED/UV light required.

WINNER IN 2 CATEGORIES: ECO COSMETICS AND NIGHT CARE

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil, $28. This non-sticky serum is enriched with wheat germ oil, high in skin-replenishing vitamin E.

WINNER: FACIAL SKINCARE

Nivea Sensitive 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water, $9. This ultra-gentle cleanser uses micelles, molecules that work like a magnet to attract and remove oil, grime and makeup.

WINNER: EYE COSMETICS

Rimmel London Wonder’Lash Mascara, $9. Pumped up with Moroccan argan oil, this mascara promises to give clump-free volume alongside lash-conditioning benefits.

WINNER: ANTI-AGING SKINCARE

New Nordic Skin Care Collagen, $30. Formulated with fish-derived collagen and antioxidants from pomegranate, tomato and microalgae, this dietary supplement aims to help maintain healthy skin.
