Inside Province Apothecary’s new store

Province Apothecary has expanded its Toronto retail presence. The holistic skincare company recently celebrated its first store/workshop, which opened its doors at 1518 Dundas Street West in April.

The range is also stocked at 50 retailers in Canada and the U.S., including Urban Outfitters, Whole Foods Market, The Detox Market, and Credo Beauty.

Headquartered in Toronto, Province Apothecary specializes in skincare using certified organic, biodynamic and wild-crafted ingredients. The best-selling Eczema Balm, for instance, is a hydrating and soothing formula made with calendula, zinc, rose-hip oil, hemp oil and turmeric. Founder Julie Clark, whose own experience with allergies and eczema led her to study aromatherapy, holistic health and aesthetics, launched the brand in 2012.

The line now features more than 15 skincare products, including the Custom Face Serum made with natural oils, and Clark has also expanded into new categories such as fragrance.
