New! Canadian Fragrance & Beauty Awards

The countdown is on for the newly revamped Canadian Fragrance & Beauty Awards 2017 (previously known as the Canadian Fragrance Awards). This year they are bigger and better than ever, including skincare and makeup for the very first time. The winning industry favourites will be revealed in a celebration at the Carlu in Toronto on Thursday, May 25. (For tickets and sponsorship inquiries contact Jim Hicks at jhicks@cctfa.ca.)

For 2017, the new Canadian Fragrance & Beauty awards will include the pre-existing fragrance categories as well as a full-market skincare category and full-market makeup category. Also new to the roster are a prestige skincare category, a prestige makeup category and a dermatological skincare category.

Next year these awards will welcome even more groups — including hair care, nail care, sun care, men’s products and more — and become known as the Canadian Beauty Awards.

Nominations have been collected and finalists will be chosen by an expert panel of 16 judges made up of beauty editors, bloggers, consumers, beauty advisors and industry experts.

Judging of the finalists will take place in February and March, with votes from:

  • The Canadian Beauty industry — over 100 vendors and retailers
  • Canadian Beauty Advisors — over 1,800 BAs from the Cosmetics Magazine advisory board
  • Consumers — 90,000 participants through Cosmeticsmag.com and TopBox
  • Panel of Fragrance & Beauty Awards judges — 16
