Launches

Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company is expanding its Canadian presence to more than 700 doors from coast to coast. The brand’s new retail partners are Whole Foods Market, Sobeys and Babies R Us. Honest’s personal care offerings include hair care, as well as bath and body products.

 

Retail Happenings

North America’s largest Sephora is almost ready for its reveal. The 10,000-square-foot space, located at Yonge & Eglinton in Toronto, will open to the public on July 8.

Juice Beauty’s creative director of makeup, Gwyneth Paltrow, will meet with Holt Renfrew customers at a public personal appearance on July 14 at the Bloor Street flagship in Toronto. Holts is the exclusive Canadian retailer of Juice Beauty’s Phyto-Pigments Color range, carried at select stores and online.

 

Advertising/PR Buzz

Famous for viral beauty campaigns, Dove released its #MyBeautyMySay video last week. It’s already racked up 4.9 million YouTube views.

P&G salon hair brand Wella Professionals has named Nata PR as its agency of record. Nata will oversee national PR campaigns, with the Toronto office managing English Canada communications, and the Montreal team leading initiatives in the Quebec market.

Revlon Canada has announced Veritas Communications as its agency of record, supporting Revlon and Almay colour cosmetics.
