Yves Saint Laurent Beauté has launched its Canadian e-commerce site, yslbeauty.ca, live as of today.
In addition to the L’Oréal brand’s usual product offerings, the platform will carry web-exclusive products, such as Le Vestiaire Des Parfums, a luxe new collection of five fragrances inspired by wardrobe staples: Tuxedo, Caban, Saharienne, Trench and Caftan.
The website will also grant Canadian consumers early access to select big launches. For instance, the upcoming Vernis à Lèvre Vinyl Cream will hit the website July 22 at 8 AM, but it won’t preview at Sephora until August. The creamy lip stain/lipstick/gloss hybrid, available in 12 shades, will then roll out nationally at other retailers (Hudson’s Bay, Holt Renfrew and Nordstrom) in September.
In the future, shoppers will find special services available on the site, such as personalized engraving on lipsticks. Beyond e-commerce, the platform also includes content such as beauty video tutorials.
Fellow L’Oréal brands Urban Decay and Biotherm launched Canadian e-commerce sites as well this year.
