Canadians will soon have access to the entire Dermablend range of high-coverage professional cosmetics. Beginning this September, all products from the L’Oréal-owned camouflage makeup brand will be available at select Shoppers Drug Mart stores in English Canada.
Founded by American dermatologist Dr. Craig Roberts in 1981, Dermablend is known for ultra-pigmented, long-wearing foundations and concealers, designed for both the face and body. The bestselling Cover Creme, for instance, packs twice as much pigment as the average foundation on the market.
Dermablend’s corrective makeup is made especially for tricky-to-conceal skin concerns, including acne and scarring, rosacea, vitiligo, post-surgical bruising, birthmarks and tattoos. (Click here to read our feature on mastering corrective makeup.) The range is also carried at more than 1,100 locations stateside.
To prove the transformative power of its products, Dermablend has done a series of YouTube videos, several of which have gone viral. The 2011 video featuring Canadian Rick Genest (below), also known as Zombie Boy because of his full-body corpse tattoos, has been viewed more than 32 million times.
