TIFF Picks: 5 Must-Try Beauty Looks
As TIFF 2017 draws to a close, we couldn't resist rounding up our must-try celeb beauty looks from this year’s red carpet and the new movies that drew them to Toronto. From hella-dramatic, wing-tipped lids to powerhouse pouts (as well as performances), we crowned these five leading ladies our queens of TIFF:
The star: Jennifer Lawrence
The flick: Mother!
The look: JLaw's textbook feline-eye treatment had us searching our makeup bags for true-black eyeliner, even before the opening credits started to roll.
Tool kit: Burberry Cat Eye Liner and Shaping Shadow, $42, at Sephora; Dior Pump’N’Volume Mascara, $37, at Dior counters.
The star: Elle Fanning
The flick: Mary Shelley
The look: Looking about as classic as the tale about the creation of Mary Shelley’s most famous character, Fanning opted for a flawless glow coupled with a sheer berry lip and a perfectly groomed brow.
Tool kit: Sephora Favourites Limited-Edition Glow For It kit, $48, at Sephora.ca.
The star: Grace Jones
The flick: Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami
The look: Fierce and empowering in her beauty look as much as she is in life, Jones donned her signature purple and black eyeshadows and an effortlessly cool ombré lip.
Tool kit: Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette, $64, at Sephora; Nars Audacious Lipstick, $40, at Nars counters.
The star: Priyanka Chopra
The flick: Pahuna: The Little Visitors
The look: A power-pink lip to match a power-pink Fendi suit, on actress-turned-producer Chopra pink-on-pink means business.
Tool kit: Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick in I Think In Pink, $25, at Sephora.
The star: Kate Mara
The flick: Chappaquiddick
The look: Inimitably understated, Mara’s pairing of barely there nudes with a full, finely separated lash line made unquestionable impact.
Tool kit: Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil, $28, at Sephora; Bobbi Brown Nude Drama Eyeshadow Palette, $75, at Sephora.
